We’re not backpackers. There are many ways to distinguish the differences between backpackers and us, and one way to tell is music. Backpacker music is terrible and/or overplayed. Rihanna is terrible. Coldplay is overplayed. Pink is terrible and overplayed.
Every backpacker has an iPod that can hold thousands of songs yet they have Kings of Leon “Sex Is On Fire” on infinite repeat. There are more Beatles songs than “Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds.”
May I suggest Beirut or Elbow? Or just some good old Pink Floyd? You can’t go wrong with Pink Floyd. -jp
