These towers at the Harold Holt communications center in Exmouth are part of an antenna array so powerful that it can transmit messages to Hawaii. It’s used allow the Aussies and Americans to communicate with their submarines. The tallest antenna is 387.9 meters high (the o2 tower in Munich is 146 meters) and the smallest ones are just over 300. There are 13 antennae total. The tall one is easy to identify because it stands on top of a 4 story building. It’s the 3rd tallest structure in the Southern Hemisphere.
Because there is nothing else around, the towers don’t look tall, even if you’re right under them. -jp
