I love spicy food. Probably too much. Even Monique and my doctor thinks I overdo it. Just because I sometimes have stomach problems. Bah, I have no time for naysayers when there’s tasty food to eat.
I actually did think once that I eat food that’s too spicy. It was a couple of weeks ago during my DM Challenge; the party they throw after you finish your DM training wherein you are basically hazed. Other Challenges I saw had people eating food that was ridiculously spicy. When my time came, it was a hot dog loaded with chili paste and hot sauce. I thought it was decent and I should do that to future hot dogs.
Here’s an iPhone shot of what I put on my lunch today… Fish sauce and chopped up chilies with big chunks of garlic. Pretty spicy. And tasty!
Sorry about the bad photo. It was a dark room and shot with the iPhone.
By the way, this is an iPhone entry. -jp

Food, again.
27 03 2009
Where do I begin with this one? First, it’s called Dr Taco. It tastes nothing like taco. There was no taco flavored Dr Taco. It was just this Dr Taco Pea Flavored Snack. Okay, so maybe it should taste like, I don’t know, how about Edimame? You know… the Japanese snack with the pea pods that are seasoned and you suck the peas out while also getting the seasoning from the outside? Well, trust me, if you don’t know it, you’re missing out. It’s fantastic with a decent cup of sake.
Anyway, let me just tell you, this stuff was awful. Not awful like “this sucks but I’ll eat it” like the Cheetoes. More like “get this crap away from me.” Monique liked it though, which is odd since she doesn’t like any of the nasty ass snacks I “discover” and make her taste. Speaking of which, I think I’m going to crack into this bag of fried seaweed over here. -jp

This certainly looks like a bag of Cheetos. It’s got the Cheetos cat on it anyway. On the right side they appear to be saying it’s made from corn. On the left, maybe it’s hot dog flavored or it goes well with hot dogs or something.
In any case, if you bite into one of these bad boys and are expecting something Cheeto-esque, you’ll be sorely disappointed. It is, in fact, pretty awful. It didn’t stop me from eating the whole bag, however. -jp

Food Numba One
1 02 2009This is a midnight snack that is hard to beat. Singha beer and… well… I don’t know what it’s called. But it’s a sheet of seaweed with some salt and spices on it. This one is the spicy version. You can tell it’s the spicy version because the wrapper is red and the little cartoon guy is sweating.
Unbelievably, it’s pretty good. It’s only 5 baht, meaning you can get 10 of them for a euro. Which is good because they’re not filling at all.
